Activating the Timeline function in Firefox
If your web browser is Firefox get the add-ons for this browser.
Then, in the search engine, you will enter the name of Timeline Support and you will get the result instantly. Then you will be able to open the search and install the extension in your browser. By doing so, you will need to allow several extensions to allow the extension to work properly on your computer.
Now that you’ve given the necessary permissions to the extension and it’s installed correctly, you’ll need to sign in with your Microsoft account. For this you have to press the extension icon which is at the top of the screen and you will be prompted to sign in with your Microsoft account. ‘ This way, you will be able to use this feature without any problems from the Firefox browser.
Enable feature in Google Chrome
In Google Chrome you can also activate this extension as easily as possible, but you should know that this extension is no longer available in the Chrome Web Store. Therefore, you will have to get it from the official website called Office Timeline.
After downloading, it will show you the option to install the extension, you will accept this request. After the extension is installed, you have to click on the extension icon. There will open a window in which you have to click on the ‘Log in to my Microsoft’ option and you will place your data and log in properly.
This way, the browser will be synced with the program on your computer so that the activities you start doing in Google Chrome from then on are saved in the Timeline Support program on your Windows 10 PC.
How do I view Timeline activities in my Chrome?
Since you already have this extension installed in your browser, you will be able to see your activity in the Windows Timeline. You will be able to do this very quickly, you have to enter the Timeline program that you have on your computer. This way, when you load you will be able to see each of the activities and at the top of the activity will be the icon of the program in which you did that activity.
Clear activity history
To clear the activity history you have in your Chrome browser you just have to do the following:
- On your computer you will run the Chrome browser and when you open it, you will click on the three dots on the right side of the screen
- In that list of choices you have to click on ‘History’ and you will mark each of the pages you want to delete
- Finally, at the top of the screen you will click on ‘Delete’ and then you will accept the window that will open.
