Twitter is one of the most used social networks today, especially when it comes to news and trends. The main use of this is the social network it sends lots of notifications which can be quite annoying for some users. So here’s how to disable Twitter feed notifications.

How do you set up Twitter notifications?

You can receive a lot of notifications from different sections of the Twitter app, such as live messages or news section. The latter can be quite annoying for some, due to the repetition that may appear.

Now, this can be monitored and all notifications can be completely turned off, both from the mobile app and from the platform’s official website. The procedure to be followed in each case is set out below.

From the mobile app

You can also follow two steps to set up and filter some Twitter notifications from your mobile app. Once you are able to sign in to your account, you need to enter the home icon at the bottom of the screen. Then click on our user section and then on the box “Settings and privacy”.

While in this section you need to click on “Notifications” and then on “Filters”. Once in this section you will see the option Filter general notifications and some of the most concrete words. In order to choose exactly which notifications to receive, you need to go to the “Silenced notifications” section and check the boxes with the corresponding filters.

The other method is roughly the same, only more straightforward. All you have to do is go to the bell icon at the bottom of the screen. This will send us to the Notifications section. Need click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen and you can access the same setup menu.

With website and computer

The process to follow from the website is similar to that of a mobile device. That’s the first thing to do enter the web and log in. On the home page of the web You need to go to “More” with a three-point icon in the left box. This will open a small menu where you will see the “Settings and Privacy” option with a gear icon; you have to click on it.

When you do that, a new page will open where we will see all the configuration options. Simply search for “Notifications” and again we will have the warning configuration options. All you have to do is go to “Filters” and select the ones you want.

Actually, it’s pretty easy and intuitive to set up or filter the notifications we want to receive on Twitter. Now, disabling them can be a different story for some. Therefore, below is how to disable push notifications from both mobile phone and computer.

What do you need to do to disable Twitter push notifications?

The case for push notifications is quite unique, as they are reflected in the notification panel of mobile devices and in the bars of web browsers. These notifications not only limited to the news sectionThey also send alerts about tags, retweets, likes, new followers, direct messages, and the like.

It’s true that disabling push notifications is pretty easy. In the case of mobile devices, the first step is to go to the home icon at the bottom of the screen. Then you need to click on our profile picture and then In the “Settings and privacy” section then you need to enter “Notifications”.

Be within the notifications section You must enter “Preferences”, and then click “Push Notifications”. When you enter this section you will see a small switch at the top of the screen. All you have to do is turn it off and ready, all notifications will be disabled.

In the case of computers, the process is almost the same; the only difference is that instead of clicking on our profile picture, we click on “More”.

Now, one thing to note is that it is not necessary to mute push notifications if you want to stop receiving certain ones in particular. For example, if you want to keep receiving news, but not just direct messages you must uncheck the appropriate box within this section.

Of course, there are those who want to completely disable all notifications on the platform. Therefore, the procedure to be followed for this is explained below.

What is the procedure for disabling all Twitter notifications?

To turn off all Twitter notifications, all you have to do is go to Settings, then Notifications, and finally Preferences. Before you get started, it’s important to know that there are three types of Twitter notifications: Las push, SMS and email. To disable them, all three types must be disabled.

This is by going to each “Preferences” section disable each notification. If you do this, Twitter will not be able to send alerts or warnings about anything. Of course, this is not so recommended in some cases, but it is possible.

If so, you can see that it’s very easy to turn off alerts and notifications on Twitter, regardless of whether it’s on your computer or on a mobile device. Therefore, this tutorial is highly recommended.
